The iPhone 8 is set to be roughly the same size as the iPhone 7, measuring in at 137.54 x 67.54 mm but with a screen that measures 5.768 inches diagonally, which is almost the exact same size as the Samsung Galaxy S8.
At the top of the screen is a small earpiece, selfie camera, microphone and other sensors.
The leak suggests that all these components will be housed under the glass display, but it does not give any information on how this may actually work.
The large display means the most notable exclusion from the iPhone 8 is the Home button and no apparent Touch ID sensor.
Previous rumours have suggested that Apple would move the touch sensor to the rear of the device, although the leaked images show no dedicated touch sensor there either.
The reverse of the device does however show a new vertical dual camera setup.
While the authenticity of the leak can not be confirmed, MacRumours noted that KK Sneak Leak who first shared images has been accurate on previous devices.
KK Sneak Leak also suggested that Apple is yet to decide on the name for the new device, claiming that the iPhone 8, iPhone X and iPhone Edition are possibilities.
The news comes after iDrop News and Benjamin Geskin posted their own mock ups of the iPhone 8, which shows an almost identical design.
Apple is expected to officially unveil the iPhone 8 in September.
The rumour mill has been working overdrive ahead of the upcoming release of Apple’s next generation smartphone, dubbed the iPhone 8.
