Dong Bang Shin Ki sell out Impact Arena with a well-choreographed show that leaves their fans wanting more

South Korean superstars Dong Bang Shin Ki proved that they are as popular as ever, selling out their "3rd Asia Tour - Mirotic" concert at Impact Arena last weekend and drawing in fans not just from Thailand but also from other countries as far away as Korea and Japan.

The concert didn't offer much more variety than their last show here in Bangkok but was still a feast for the eyes, with plenty of high-tech gizmos plus well-choreographed scenes accompanied by a backstory screened on the giant monitors.

For example, as Max sang "Balloon", his bandmates flew over the stage while the story unfolded on screen. In "Wrong Number", all five played drew their guns and fought it out gangster-style.

Screams were loud as the curtains rose to reveal the screens showing the five heartthrobs apparently floating up from the depths of the ocean. Seconds later, they were on stage for a tight opening set that included "Hey! (Don't Bring Me Down)", "Are You Good Girl?", "Rising Sun" and "Paradise".

As usual, each of the boys performed separately, with Micky playing piano for his own composition "Love Bye Love", Xiah and U-Know both showing off their dancing and singing skills as they performed "Xiahtic" and "Checkmate" respectively, and Hero and Max choosing to sing their favourite covers.

They joined together to saunter along the stage fingers and come closer to their fans, segueing smoothly from "Mirotic" into "The Way U Are", then crooning "Somebody To Love" and "Crazy Love".

The concert wrapped with two encores - "Song for You" and "Tonight". And, even though the Korean boy band had long left the stage, fans joined their voices for a rousing rendition of "Song For You".
