Supercars and timepieces form couples for the Emporium's latest exhibition
The pulsating power of the world's super cars is matched up with the very latest in luxury watches this weekend at the Emporium's Bt300-million-exhibition "Speed of Time" Fourteen sporty sets of wheels have been paired with 14 top-timepieces in an unusual showcase that offers fans of technological and design innovations a unique chance to appreciate both autos and watches as "couples" as well as individual pieces. The four main automobile-timepiece pairs under the spotlight are Lamborghini and Blancpain, Spyker and Chronoswiss, Ferrari with Ferrari engineered by Pfficine Panerai, and Bentley with Breitling for Bentley. The Lamborghini-Blancpain pair is brought together by character: the world's oldest watch meets the world's most idolised car. The Spyker-Chronoswiss duo is bonded by their reputation for high-performance and mind-blowing innovation. The Ferrari-Panerai couple reflects the Italian manufacturer's excellence in both the automobile and the timepiece industries, and Bentley-Breitling for Bentley, simply represents the true meaning of prestige. Other car and watch brands include Maserati, Porsche, Aston Martin, MTM Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Audemars Piguet, Harry Winston, CVSTOS, IWC, Piaget, Ulysse Nardin, Omega, and Glashutte Original. "Speed of Time" runs until Monday at The Emporium ground floor.
