La Mer comes up with a new sunscreen which halts harmful rays by absorbing light energy
La Mer takes advantage of the coming Thai summer to introduce its latest product, a moisturising cream with a strong sunscreen that's already drawn orders from the celebrity set before its release here in March. For La Mer's SPF 30 UV Protecting Fluid Light Transformed, the Max Huber Research Labs have built on the power of light principle to engineer a formula that harnesses the power of light in a daily hydrating sunscreen. The protecting fluid provides broad-spectrum UVA/ UVB protection as well as an array of visible light-transformation benefits, using semi-precious tourmaline and Brazilian malachite capture light energy and then transform it into beneficial green light to boost its powerful anti-oxidants. At the launch event, Patreeya Na Nakorn fell in love with the beautiful scent and luxurious texture. "It's great being able to reapply it all day without feeling sticky," she says. Pals who enjoy outdoor activities; Thipanan Srifuangfung, Theerawan Pangsriwong, Surachanee Limatibul, ML Sisira Diskul and Jitpas Bhirombhakdi, were also planning to add the cream to their must-haves, which include wide-brimmed hats and parsols. "This one is better that the usual UV creams because we can put it on as often as we want," says Sisira. Prem Busarakhamwongs, the only guy at the event, says most men are lazy about using UV protection but this new product may make them change their minds. The SPF 30 UV Protecting Fluid will be available in March for Bt3,500 (40ml) at La Mer Aquarium Counters in leading department stores.
